Wash your Vehicle

Have you ever been embarrassed to give a friend a ride home because your car is messy? If you commute to work or school, you’ve probably accumulated a lot of miles on your vehicle. Your car has also probably seen its fair share of the elements and dirt. In this week’s The Mansions 3Eighty Apartments Blog, we’ve got a few tips for you on washing your car. Take advantage of the nice summer weather here in Little Elm, TX and give your car a nice bath!

Wash the Exterior

The exterior is the most visible part of your vehicle, thus it’s important to keep it clean. Through your commute, your car is exposed to the elements and particles that can embed themselves in the surface of the paint. Start your wash by heading to the store to pick up some car soap. Start from the top and work your way to the bottom, being sure to rinse off your washcloth often to remove any particles that can scratch your car’s paint.

Detail the Interior

The interior is the part of your car that you see the most, as well as your potential passengers. Avoid any embarrassing situations by removing any unnecessary items and clutter. If you’re never home and “live out of your car” consider investing in a trunk organizer for all the items that you store in your vehicle regularly. With a trunk or car organizer, you can place all your emergency items in a convenient and easy-to-reach place.

Make it a Routine

Keeping your car clean can be the last thing on your mind, but as you make it part of a routine, you can maintain the cleanliness you’ve worked so hard to start. Take a little time out of every day to pick up after yourself, and wash your car once every two weeks (or more if you would like).
